[Fortunately for poor Vash's heart, kissing is about as much as Wolfwood is willing to do while he's this drunk. Sure, the booze helps in making sure he isn't stopping himself last second by having second-thoughts or some sort of trepidation borne of a perceived lack of deservedness. But so far they've just...kissed. That's something you could- theoretically- come back from. Vash could very easily laugh it off later as something they just fell prey to while inebriated, and Wolfwood would ride on the coattails of that no matter how much it hurt.
It wouldn't be ideal, not for his heart. But he would learn to live with it, just like how he's learned to live with everything else.
